At the "T" go left to get the full trail-it is not marked.
Pretty fun trail. Not as good as other top trails near Bozeman, but should be on anybody's to do list. Hiked it through to the M trail. Steep at points, but not unreasonably so. Saw some cool rock formations. Would advise a map if hiking it to Baldy or the M.
A comparatively easy hike for a good view of the valley and of Baldy mountain.
Easy to access trail goes from Sypes Canyon trail head to the 'M' trailhead about 12 miles. Or, go just over three miles to an intersection and turn around. Elevation gain about 1600 feet. Mostly shady trail is narrow, steep and rocky in parts, with exceptional south views on a clear day. Expect light company on the weekend.
Hiked most (?) of the way up, muddy for about 25%. Beautiful hike. Beginning elevation was 4,801 feet and ending was 6,802 feet.
Recommend water.
