I have had four surgeries from the three Alpine surgeons.

Review of Alpine Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Surgery

Revised from 5 to 3 stars:

The nurse brought me in to an exam room and asked me what was up. He left after a couple minutes and said the Doctor would be in shortly. 30 minutes go by and I ask where the doctor is. They insure me again he will be there in the next ten minutes. I wait another 30 minutes and the doctor still hadn't been in. I had an important class to attend so I had to unfortunately leave. My shoulder was in a lot of pain from falling on a skateboard a few days ago and I really wanted someone to look at it. They charged me $180 for my visit and I didn't even get to se a doctor. I chatted with them and told them what happened but they wrote in their records that I saw a doctor and was given information. This literally never happened. So now I am aware their patient records aren't all true and they just want people's money.

Both of my new knees and my new hip really feel "spring loaded". By the way I am 72 years old.

I can not sufficiently express my gratitude for the outstanding surgeries performed by Alpine surgeons strongly enough. In addition to the surgeons, my experience with their teams was superb. I was never kept waiting for an answer and their care was impeccable.

In April 2014 Mark Deibert replaced my right knee. Three weeks later he replaced my left knee. Five days after the first knee was replaced and ten days after the second knee was replaced I had full range of motion allowing me to touch my heel to my butt. Mark used "non standard" implants due to my of activities. Normally range of motion for implants is far less. Four weeks after the second knee was replaced I rode a motorcycle 600 miles to Ely, Nevada without pain.

It’s been a long 2017…undiagnosed extremely painful medial knee not caused by recent trauma. Disappointingly, another local orthopedics practice offered no suggestion for treatment following xrays and MRI. On my own, I pursued aggressive physical therapy treatment (including deep tissue massage, dry needling, e-stim, and home exercise program) for 5 months and also platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy via a local physiatrist. The PRP apparently aggravated the condition. Fortunately, I was eventually referred by an acquaintence to Dr. Deibert. An initial phone inquiry with Chris, Dr. Deibert’s Patient Care Coodinator, gave me confidence to move forward with him. Firstly, having experienced several medical providers’ offices, I have found the Alpine Orthopedics office management to be quite stellar – efficient and caring. Most importantly, having been through over 9 months of pain and attempts at diagnosis/treatment, Dr. Deibert listened to my story and told me that he believed me. Following his thorough physical examination, new imaging, and targeted discussions with me, Dr. Deibert zero’d in on a diagnosis and surgical treatment plan. He is thorough, expertly skilled…and kind. Of course, upon my completion of my 100% rehab, I hope to never see Dr. Deibert again except in the grocery stores!

Worst experience I have ever had. Ridiculously long waits and I had to remind the staff I was in the room 2 times while the staff looked at me in annoyance when I told them. Was visited by the surgeon for 10min and he said the surgery wasn't a big deal but any surgery to me is a big deal if your are cutting into my skin. He drew on my skin with a pen w/out asking. I left the office rubbing pen off my hand. I felt like the surgery dates were pushed on me. The experience was uncomfortable and unnecessary. I walked out nervous and worried about the surgery, and the outcome. My bill was $300 for an horrible office visit! I had 50min of waiting time throughout and 10min was actually talking to the surgeon. I told them about my experience. I'm expected to pay this high bill with a bad taste in my mouth. In my opinion you trust that people will provide good customer service especially when it comes to surgeries and that your dollar, your body, and your time counts, but I guess not in this case.

In November of 2016 my left hip was diagnosed as being bone on bone. Peter Kellerher treated it and I skied nearly the entire ski season without pain. In May of 2017, Tim O Brien replaced my hip. The hip he used is less likely to dislocate. I was skeptical about his use of lateral versus anterior surgery, but my previous experience at Alpine overcame any doubts. Not surprisingly, Tim was correct. The ball on top of my femur was disintegrating due to repeated impacts. The lateral approach allowed him to see the condition far better than would have been the case with the anterior approach. I could not be happier with the results. Prior to surgery I could not walk ten feet without pain. Four days after surgery I walked 11/2 miles carefully, but pain free. Fifteen days after surgery Tim released me to resume all normal activities with care. Six weeks after surgery I rode my motorcycle more than 2000 miles without pain.

Great experience all around with Dr. Kelleher. Front office/reception not so much. Average at best for service if you go to the office in person, pretty poor if you try and do anything over the phone, + 7-10 businesses days to fax a piece of paper. Also having major issues with them in regards to not communicating and filling out paper work for workman's comp.

I have skied more than 400 days on my repaired Achilles and replaced knees and have ridden motorcycles many thousands of miles all without a single feeling of pain or swelling. My new hip is incredible.

In January 2014 I broke my Achilles skiing. It was repaired by Peter Kellerher the day after it was broken and I returned to skiing in six weeks versus four to six months. It has remained perfect. Peter was always available to answer questions to supervise my recovery therapy.
