I work for a Property Management company in Bozeman, where we were giving Lowe's over $5,000 in business weekly. Their customer service is the number one reason we will no longer be using Lowe's. From lost orders, to delivering appliances incorrectly, to the scratched up appliances that they still installed - we had to take our business elsewhere.
Very unsatisfied with customer service. Ordered a freezer and it was sold out from under us after driving several hours assured it would be ready. Waited 2 1/2 hours for them to find another. They took 10%off which was nice after everything, however, getting it loaded was a nightmare. Another 30min to get someone to help move it, which we should have just done on our own. But I'm sorry, we watched several customers load huge lumber loads while the staff sat and played on their phones, shrugging when asked to help. Then their attitude was absolutely horrible. Manager nowhere to be found.
Will say the only ones that did their job were the customer help desk. Only employees that seemed to care about their job.
Even when I go to Lowe's personally, you walk in the door to three employees - none of whom look up from their phone to say hello.
Prices are terrible. Service was worse. Used to be a big fan of Lowe's, but the Bozeman Lowe's quickly changed my mind.
I went in frantically this morning at 6 AM as a last ditch effort to find Solar Eclipse glasses (last minute I know). I found everyone to be super helpful and friendly even when politely telling me they were sold out (understandable since the eclipse is today). As I was leaving a cashier named Deb went and got me a pair she had in her car and would not accept any payment for them. This was above and beyond! I am so grateful to her as I didn't want to disappoint my 8 year old! My husband and I buy our remodeling supplies there all the time but I never expected to have such a kind gesture! Thanks Deb!!!!
We would have maintenance personell wait there for over an hour until someone finally found the appliance that was "available at the counter for pick up."
Several customers behind us also remarked at how poor the service was and how they would like to see the nonexistent manager. We run a small business and if it's busy no one just sits around, especially not fiddling on phones.
I understand this is a "big box" store company, however, staff trained and monitored for better customer service shouldn't be so much to ask for.
