I say this because we must've looked ridiculous coming in from the outside covered in moths. Since I'm from the west coast and have never been to Montana, maybe I'm commenting on something normal here, but there were thousands, if not millions, of moths outside! It was insane. Before checking into the hotel we decided to gas up so we could just leave at first light and we were pumping gas in the middle of a swirling storm of moths at the gas pumps. As I looked across the street at the Holiday Inn, it didn't even occur to me that the fluttering almost fluid-like effect happening to the lights on the outside of the hotel were moths, I thought it was just a cool effect the hotel had installed.
When we got to the hotel the moths were everywhere! There were literally so many of them that they were falling off of each other trying to get to the light fixtures. They were on the sidewalk, the walls and the ceiling. When we entered I thought that we had managed to get by them without having any attach to us, but nope. We were brushing them off in the hotel lobby and when we got to the room, they were literally falling out of our clothes. It was like being in a bad 50's horror film that would've fit in on MST 3000.
The Holiday Inn was nice and quiet. The room had a nice bathroom, microwave, mini-refrigerator, and TV. The lobby had complimentary coffee. There is an on-site bar and restaurant that I did not try. The only issue that I had was getting my key to work in Entrance 4. It took a couple of tries each time, but I always got in eventually!
Older Holiday Inn but well worth staying there for the friendly staff, pool and clean rooms. Definitely one of the best Hotel bars also called the Dry Fly Saloon. Great classic cocktails and awesome beer selection!
Nice place. There's a pool and whirlpool, as well as a restaurant and small gym. The staff is very friendly and considerate when you loose 10 room keys over the course of your stay. My biggest issue was that there wasn't a free breakfast included. If you want breakfast at the hotel you have to pay at the restaurant.
So, my friend and I are driving from Seattle to Indianapolis and we need a place to stop for the night. This place was the cheapest available and since Holiday Inn is a known name, we figured it'd be okay. That is just what it was, okay. Honestly, we were so tired that we barely noticed the room or any of the amenities, so it wouldn't be fair to comment on them. However, the front desk staff was very friendly and had great poker faces.
This is a cozy hotel. The staff is very nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The shuttle will take you downtown and pick you up for free, but I suggest at least a $5 tip to the driver since an Uber is about $8 to go downtown. There is no elevator, but there are only two floors. The hotel might be haunted. Room 220 is a suspected room for that, so you may want to request that room for fun. I'm not sure if it's all of Bozeman or specifically just this hotel, but the air is really dry, especially if the heaters are on. I suggest loading up with lotion or oil before you go to bed.
