Hands down the best place to stay in Bozeman! The location can't be beat. A phenomenal value compared to other lodging options. However the thing that makes this place truly special are the people. Nina and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable. Guests stay here from around the world...so there are always good conversations to be had. I can't recommend Treasure State Hostel enough!

Good downtown location, not super expensive, but smelled strongly of body odor when I went, breakfast is real basic just bagel/banana, sounds echo everywhere, staff are nice, 1 seated-toilet per gender only :o Nice staff said they wouldn't put me in the first room bc it smelled bad. Second room, super body odor smell and assigned bed covered in people smelly stuff, tell staff, they put me in another room instead, this ones not as bad. Common areas smell like b/o. No group events. Only 3 chairs in kitchen. Nice staff. Wasn't worth the $40 I paid for a dorm (yikes). Would consider returning if it smelled better.
Ideal location. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable. Note, rooms have no windows.
Stayed here a couple of days on my way to work at Yellowstone for the summer. The staff are excellent and more than accommodating. The facility is hospital clean, and the accommodations are more than comfortable. Their location cannot be beat. Right in the heart of downtown Boseman. The general manager called me up 3 hours after I made my reservation to inform me of the city's free bus service which dropped me off 1/2 a block from the hostel. That was way above and beyond the call of duty. If you are Hostel friendly, you cant loose with these folks.
