Long story short, the car we drove 3 hours to buy is not the car we drove home in. BUT, everyone we encountered at Denny Menholt Honda was polite and highly professional. This is a small but VERY busy dealership. And as we visited with the sales manager, business manager, etc., they all took their time with us and answered our questions. Rein, our salesman, had been fantastic over the weeks leading up to our visit (returning calls and texts on time), and -- even though he missed several days of work due to a death in the family -- he checked in with me his first day back (while we were on our way to the dealership). All in all, we're very happy with our experience at Denny Menholt and with our purchase. Can't wait to see this dealership grow over the next few years! And thank you Rein for making the buying process so great!
While vacationing in Yellowstone this summer our ignition in our Honda Pilot went out and there were no local mechanics that could fix it. We called Menholt Honda and they were able to get ya in that day! Dustin was very helpful to work us in. What was a stressful situation while vacationing was made much easier by the quick and efficient work provided by thie staff here. Thanks so much.
My pregnant wife and I came in for a new car before our baby boy was born. We settled on a 2011 Nissan Rogue. We have had it for just over a year. First to go on it were the tires 2 months ago. I bought a brand new set at $800, which, for a new family just getting their start is a huge chunk of money. Now the notoriously terrible CVT transmission in it is dying. I find it difficult, if not impossible, to believe that the salesman was not aware of the extensive issues Nissan has with these transmissions failing at about 90,000 miles. I believe that he did and in order to get it off his lot he chose to push it on a young, expecting couple, desperate for a safe, reliable vehicle. Now we are left with a car that is very unsafe to drive, and that we can not afford to drop a new or rebuilt transmission in at a cost between $3800 and $7000. What we are going to do, I do not know, but I felt it was my duty to warn all other potential buyers. Be weary of those vehicles that they get pushy on. Do not go in as we did, obviously desperate. And if nothing else, stay away from any vehicles with a CVT transmission. If only I had listened to my gut feeling on the salesman and the car.
