These guys are great, very helpful. Although I didn't end up purchasing a car from them, I would highly recommend them. They keep their cars in great condition. My mechanic said the car I was looking at was in great shape. And they really try to work with you with fiancing. Good place to look at cars.
I don't normally write reviews but I believe that this one is worthy of a review for everyone out there considering buying a car from Peak Cars. I found a vehicle on craigslist that they were selling and the title of the ad claimed the vehicle was a 2006, however in the description the vehicle was listed as a 2005. So I went to their actual website and it was listed as a 2006 and the description also said it was a 2006. So I figured no big deal it was just a typo. So I called and talked to a salesman and asked him about the year and told him what his ads said and he said that it was indeed a 2005, not a 2006. After trying to ask him a few questions I finally gave up because I was not getting much information from the gentleman. The ad further claimed that the vehicle had power windows, power locks, and only 2 owners. However about a week later I had a family member look at the vehicle for me since I am out of town and he found out that the vehicle did not have power windows, or power locks, and it had 4 previous owners, not 2. My family member asked about the year of the vehicle and the gentleman said that it was a 2005 and that they may have made a typo on the ads, granted this was a week after I had already called them and told them their ad was incorrect. I am trying to be as polite and honest about this review as possible. I do not appreciate the fact that the vehicle was not as described and would not consider these mistakes in their ads to be "typos." For these reasons I will not be doing business with Peak Cars.
Very easy to buy a car from Peak. I was interested in a 2005 Lexus. They let me take it on several test drives and get it check out by a mechanic in town. No pressure to make the sale. Everything checked out and we came to a fair price. Everything on the car is working great.
Bought a vehicle. Lots of pressure to get things done. Did their own work on the vehicle. Turns out it leaked oil from the beginning, dry rotted tires, split timing belt, blown radiator, bad brakes, and a motor that the shop said was most likely replaced. Apparently all this was missed in their inspection. I guess I understand now why they were in such a hurry to underline the AS IS on the contract. I learned my lesson on trusting people....the extra cost of buying at a dealer is not worth it here. Will not buy here again and I suggest you do not either.
It's been over a year since I purchased my 2010 Forster, and I've driven over 10,000 miles. I did not feel pressure to purchase. I had looked at many different dealers and individual sellers. Matt was very patient with my slow process, and answered so many questions, about the carfax report as well. For example, it looked like a water mark on the ceiling. When I asked about it, they immediately took it apart in front of me because Matt wanted to see, too. The mark was not on the other side, there was no leak. I took it on several test drives, including to my own mechanic. After I purchased it, they called to let me know a small cosmetic part had arrived, which they installed for me. I recently took it to my mechanic for routine maintenance, was told it looked great. I rarely write reviews, but since shopping for a used car was challenging at times, I am writing this one. I recommend Peak to my friends and family.
